Cowboy Golfers Earn All-America Status

STILLWATER, Okla. - Two Oklahoma State men's golfers, Anders Hultman and P?r Nilsson, have been named by the Golf Coaches Association of America to the 2001 Ping All-America Team.
Hultman, a third-team All-American last year and this year's Big 12 Player of the Year, was one of eleven players selected to the first team. The junior won three tournaments this season and recorded a 71.44 stroke average.
At the Rolex/Golf World Invitational in November, the Gothenburg, Sweden, native shattered the school's 54-hole scoring record with a 21-under-par performance, including a final-round 63, to secure his first career win.
In 13 tournaments this year, Hultman posted five top-five finishes and carded 14 sub-70 rounds.
Nilsson, who was an all-conference selection as well, received honorable mention All-America recognition from the GCAA.
The freshman competed in 13 events and was second on the OSU squad with a 72.67 stroke average. Nilsson's best finish of the year came at the Big 12 Championship, where he tied for second.
The Ljungsbro, Sweden native was the Cowboys' top individual four times, including three of the year's last four tournaments. Nilsson also broke 70 six times this season while claiming three top-10 finishes.
