Alfheim Finishes at Championships

EUGENE, Ore. - Siri Alfheim finished the 5,000-meter in a time of 16:35.35 at the NCAA Outdoor Track Championships. This placed her nineteenth among the strong field of competitors.
Alfheim was the last Cowgirl to compete as their season came to a close.
Lauren Fleshman of Stanford and Melissa Gulli of Texas A&M finished first and second. Fleshman posted a time of 15:52.21with Gulli right behind her at 15:55.64.
USC was crowned national champions while Oklahoma State finished in a tie for fortieth out of 74 schools competing.
The Cowgirls now have all summer off before cross country begins in the fall.
