Wells Places Fourth at Championships

EUGENE, Ore. - Oklahoma State's Sara Wells was named an All-American after placing fourth in the 10,000-meter run at NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Wells posted a time of 34:44.49, which slotted her right behind Leigh Daniel of Texas Tech who finished third with a time of 34:42.64.
Amy Yoder-Begley of Arkansas and Sara Day of Wake Forest blew away the rest of the field with times of 33:59.96 and 34:06.53, respectively.
Wells fourth-place finished scored five points for the Cowgirls, and after two days of running the Cowgirls are in a tie for twelth with five points.
Siri Alfheim is the lone Cowgirl left to compete. She will be running in the 5,000-meter on the final day of competition, Saturday.
