SETTING THE SCENE
Oklahoma State's golf team will look to defend its national title this
week as it travels to Durham, North Carolina for the NCAA Championship being
held at the Duke Golf Club.
The four-day, 72-hole event will begin on Wednesday with 30 teams and six individuals from non-qualifying teams competing on the 7,111-yard layout. After two rounds, the field will be cut to 15 teams and the nine top individuals not on those squads.
The Cowboys, who enter the event as the No. 18 seed, will play practice rounds on Monday and Tuesday before teeing off on the front nine at 7 a.m. on Wednesday with Oregon State and Virginia Tech. On Thursday, OSU will begin play on the No. 10 tee at noon with the same two schools.
Results will be available on the internet at www.ncaachampionships.com, www.GoDuke.com and www.golfstat.com.
