Davila Finishes Sixth at Championships

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Oklahoma State's Araceli Davila finished sixth in the women's 10,000-meter run on Thursday.
Davila's time of 37:37.31 put her behind Amy Chipman of Missouri who had a time of 37:22.89. Daniel Leigh of Texas Tech won the event with a qualifying time of 35:18.39.
Davila's sixth place finish merited three points for Oklahoma State and after two days of competition the Cowgirls are in ninth, only two points behind Colorado who has five. Kansas State is leading thus far with 28 points.
The Cowgirls will be back at it today starting with Stephani Duff in the long jump at noon.
