Offense Shines In Spring Football Scrimmage

STILLWATER, Okla. -- Sophomore quarterback Aso Pogi threw for 285 yards while sophomore runningback Tatum Bell ran for 110 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Cowboy offense in the Orange-White scrimmage Saturday afternoon at Lewis Field.
OSU's offense produced seven touchdowns in the 120-play scrimmage, six of them coming via the run.
Quarterback Jake Hammond hooked up with wide receiver John Wolgemuth in the biggest play of the game, a 58-yard touchdown pass in the first half.
Pogi finished the game 26-for-39 for 285 yards while Bell had 14 rushes for 110 yards, including a 30-yard touchdown score.
Rashaun Woods led the receiving corps with seven receptions for 75 yards while Willie Young also contributed five catches for 60 yards.
Defensive back Paul Jones led the defense with nine tackles, followed by linebacker Ron Able who finished with eight. Linebackers Jake Riffe and Greg Richmond recorded two sacks each to lead the squad.
The Cowboys will conclude their spring practice schedule next Saturday, April 14, with a scrimmage set to begin at 10 a.m.
