Cowboy Track Travels to Fayetteville for John McDonnell Invitational

The meet is the fourth in the Cowboy outdoor track season. The John McDonnell Invitational is hosted by the University of Arkansas. The meet, formerly the Bank of Fayetteville Invitational, will be held on the John McDonnell Track and Field.
Cowboy runners, who have some of the best times in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, 5,000-meter run and 10,000-meter run, hope to better their times as some of the best in the Big 12.
Jason Woolhouse has the second fastest time in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. His time of 8:46.56 at the OSU Duals earned him that spot. Also having a top-10 times were Trey Vernon and Jon Cordes.
Bjorn Bergstrom's number two position on the 5,000-meter run list came with a time of 14:04.71 at the Stanford Invitational.
OSU's Junior Vasquez has the best time in the 10,000-meter run. He finished 23rd in the Stanford Invitational with a time of 29:22.85. Matt Hart was second on the list with a time of 31:04.93 coming from a 70th-place finish at the Stanford Invitational. Jason Woolhouse and Trey Vernon also were among the top-ten times.
After the meet on Saturday, the part of the Cowboy squad will travel to Lawrence, Kan., for the Kansas Relays on April 19-21. The rest of the team will travel to Walnut, Calif., for the Mt. SAC Invitational on April 20-21.
