Cowgirls Place Sixth at College Station Relays

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State captured a sixth place team finish today at the College Station Relays in College Station, Texas.
The Cowgirls collected a total of 39 points, allowing them to finish sixth in the track meet.
Sophomore Alexandra Lindquist placed first in the 800m run, giving the team 10 of its 39 team points. She finished the race in 2:13.78.
Siri Alfheim, OSU's only graduate student on the women's track team, finished first in the 1,500m race. She also gave the team 10 of its 39 team points, finishing the event in 4:42.00. Freshman Marie Nilsson wasn't far behind Alfheim. She finished the 1,500m in 4:49.64, good enough for a second place finish and eight team points. Freshman Sara Kofed placed sixth in the event, with a time of 4:56.33 and one team point. Freshman Lisa Bowles' 5:36.95 time gave her a 19th place finish.
Freshman Catherine Clifford gave her best performance of the year when she finished the 5,000m in 18:26.72, giving her the third place honors. Clifford's performance accounted for six of the overall team points. Senior All-American Sara Wells finished fourth in the 5,000m with a time of 18:27.12 and four team points. Freshman Sharalee Spark's 18:50.23 time was good enough for a seventh place finish. Senior Araceli Davila finished in ninth place with a time of 19:04.04. Freshman Joanna Fedick finished in 19:04.31, in tenth place.
The Cowgirls will stay at home in Stillwater next weekend and host the Cowboy Duals on Saturday.
