TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's soccer team picked up its fifth win in six outings this spring, defeating Northeastern (Okla.) State 3-0 on Saturday in Tahlequah.
Forward Joanne Edwards continued to make her presence felt on the offensive end of the field for the Cowgirls. Edwards, who scored 10 goals in OSU's five games last weekend, scored the contest's first goal to put OSU in front 1-0.
"It was a good game for us. We were able to work on some of the things that are crucial in the Big 12, such as our position and getting our composure on the ball," assistant coach Colin Carmichael said.
Cowgirl senior Andi Lute extended the lead to 2-0 with a goal of her own before freshman Kim Graves added the team's final tally.
Goalkeeper Kat Doud, in her first action of the spring season, registered the shutout in goal for the Cowgirls.
OSU will continue its spring schedule on March 31 when they travel to Edmond to take on Central Oklahoma and Oklahoma City University.
