Fred Jonzen
On Baylor's defense
They came up with different defenses all night. Especially in the second
half when they played the half court trap, which we didn't handle very good.
I tried to tell the guys that we needed to get the ball inside a little more
down the stretch. When we are in the double bonus we need to get to the free
throw line more, and we did that tonight.
On winning the four games
The bottom line is that we did win the last four games. Even though we
haven't played very good, we got the four wins and now we have 19 wins and
10 are in the conference. Now we have to finish up at OU on Saturday. It is
a relief to get the last four games over with and getting the four wins.
Jason Keep
On Fred Jonzen
You have to give Fred credit for playing the way he has and leading us. We
all look up to him because he has been to the NCAA Tournament and knows what
it is like.
On coming out and playing
I knew I had to go out and get something done. Most of all, I have been
struggling with a lot of things. With everything that has gone on in the
last month the team has had a hard time and it has been effecting me. I
talked to coach today in the office and told him my focus is on basketball
and all I want to do is go out there and get something done.

Oklahoma State Locker Room Quotes
Guard Maurice Baker
On The Game
This was a must win for us. We needed this win to get into the NCAA
Tournament. We really needed this win to get momentum going into the OU game
on Saturday. This was a big win for us.
On Playing OU
Beating OU at their place will build up our confidence even more. That
would give us a lot more momentum going into the Big 12 Tournament.
Guard Victor Williams
On The Game
This was a big win for us. We felt that if we won this game we would be in
pretty good shape for getting into the NCAA Tournament. Baylor did a good
job of coming out here and stepping up to the challenge. They played a great
game.
On His Last Two Free Throws
I didn't feel any pressure while shooting them, since I have been put in
that situation before. I practice shooting free throws everyday so that I
will make them in those situations. I just had to go up there and knock them
down.

Postgame Quotes
OSU Coach Eddie Sutton
On losing the lead
That game gave me a few more white hairs. It was another gut check type of
game. In the first half, I really thought we had played well. We came out
in double figures. I think we had a 14 or a 15 point lead. You can't ever
not give the other team credit. I thought they really competed hard.
Baylor has really improved from what they were when we played them earlier
this season. But when you get a lead like that and you're playing at home,
you ought to be able to keep that in double figures. This game tonight was
a lot like the Missouri game was the other night in that they got out on
them by 19 at halftime. And then instead of us increasing the lead, we let
that lead get away from us. We went into intermission with just a seven
point lead. When you allow a team to hang around like that, the tougher
they become.
They certainly proved that.
On the final minutes of the game
With two minutes to go, we made some cardinal sins of basketball. You
don't ever foul a three point shot anytime, but especially not late in the
game. And then you never leave a shooter on the ball's side when somebody
starts to penetrate. Terrance (Crawford) made a freshman's mistake. He
left the shooter. In other words, when a guy starts to drive, you have to
lock up on him. You don't leave him. And he (Crawford) stepped over to try
to help and they made a three point shot. We're fortunate to win the
ballgame like we did.
On Maurice Baker and Fredrik Jonzen
I thought that Mo (Baker) and Fred (Jonzen) played terrific game. Those
two guys are really good. Fred made the big play there on the end with the
missed freethrow. He made a great hustle play and knocked the ball back to
Victor (Williams).
On the importance of winning
These four games, the bottom line is to win. You know, you're 19-7 and 10-5,
and I don't think anybody thought we'd be here at this stage in this season
with everything that has happened.

Postgame Quotes
Baylor Coach Dave Bliss
I thought that was a terrific college basketball game. Had we been in a little bit more of a position to grab a rebound we could have had a chance to dictate our own fate.
On Oklahoma State
They are a difficult team for us to play. Their post play in the first
half, we let them get away and they dominated us inside. I thought in the
second half, we tried to keep the ball from going in there. We tried to do
some things to push the ball and get some fast breaks. We knew in the half
court they are as good a defensive team as there is in the country and it
doesn't matter who is wearing the shirts.
On Fredrik Jonzen
They were stronger than we were inside and we let them get too many
baskets. But Fredrik, he is like playing with your dad?he does everything
right. He just kind of takes the game over and makes sure his team wins. If
he isn't one of the best players in the conference, I don't know who is. I
really respect how he plays.

Postgame Quotes
Baylor State players
Forward Terry Black
On the final decision
We came out and made a heck of an effort during the second half. We just
tried to fight and see which way the ball would bounce toward the end of the
game.
On preparing for A&M
There's no sense in us getting down. We just have to go back and watch
film. We didn't execute well tonight. We just need to prepare for (Texas)
A&M coming into our place this Saturday. Every game from here on out is a
must win. You don't just single out one game as a must win game. Each time
we put on our uniforms, we want to come out and get a win.
Guard DeMarcus Minor
On the second half effort
When we came out in the first half, we were kind of slacking on our team
work and communication. But we came and we made some adjustments at
halftime. During the second half, we got our ball-trap to work. I think
that really sparked us.
On playing to win
We definitely played to win the ballgame. I felt like if we got the ball,
we were going to go down there and score. Just being at Baylor, everytime
you step on the court, you feel like you have something to prove. We're
still trying to live down the stigma from going 0-16 two or three years ago.
The players on this team weren't even here then. Everytime we play, we feel
like we have to go out there and win.
On Baylor's four-game losing streak
If we quit, then we're definitely not going to win anymore. Anytime you go
on a streak such as this, you have to just keep on playing hard. They're
(OSU) a team who has only lost one home game this year. And we were a shot
away from beating them.
