Cowboys Sweep Tigers With Extra-Inning Win

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's baseball team completed a three-game sweep of Missouri on Monday, defeating the Tigers 5-4 in 10 innings at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.
On the first pitch of the bottom of the 10th inning, OSU's Luke Scott took Missouri reliever Pete Sansone over the rightfield wall for his third homer of the season, giving the Cowboys their fourth consecutive victory.
With the win, OSU improves to 10-2 overall and 3-0 in the Big 12. Mizzou falls to 3-5-1 and 0-3 on the season.
Missouri got on the board in the first when Jon Williams' singled to rightfield, scoring Jayce Tingler.
The Cowboys countered with a run in the second on Paul Powell's first home run of the year. OSU took the lead in the third frame when Brian Kraft doubled home Jimbo McAuliff.
MU evened the score at two apiece in the top of the fifth and took the lead with a two-run sixth.
OSU's Roy York and Rob Watson each drove in a run in the Cowboys' half of the sixth to even the score at 4-4.
Both teams were held scoreless over the last three innings before York's blast in the extra inning.
Freshman Shane Hawk picked up his first career win, The lefthander pitched 3.2 scoreless innings to move his record to 1-0.
OSU will return to the diamond next week when it travels to Lawrence to take on the Kansas Jayhawks.
