Head Coach Les Miles
On the off week
"It was a very productive off week for us. We got in four practices and were
able to give our injured players some rest. We invited the children of the
staff to our Halloween practice and the children gave out candy to our
players. It was a fun moment."
On Texas Tech
"They are awfully good. They will put the ball in the air a lot and they
know what to do with it. It will be a tough match up for our defense."
On the seniors
"This season has been frustrating since we have not won. That is why the
seniors will want to make a difference. These seniors want to make sure they
finish putting the program in the right spot."
On Texas Tech quarterback Kliff Kingsbury
"He is an extremely tough competitor. I like the way he handles the pressure
and that he knows what to do when the ball is in his hands. He gets up and
looks forward to the next play. I just like the way he competes."
On Texas Tech running back Ricky Williams
"He is awfully talented. He makes tacklers miss when he runs with the ball.
He is a great running back in any scheme, especially in their offense."
On the importance of showing improvement
"We need to play well for our school and our home fans. It is important to
win this game to show improvement. Improvement is something that this team
needs, and to show improvement they have to win games. There are a number of
ways that there can be a positive end to this season. Winning the next three
games is one way. We can show improvement on the defensive side. If you have
a good end to this season then it can have some long term effects into next
season."

Player Quotes
Dwayne Levels
On being his last game
"It is something you think about as a freshman coming in. You think, 'I
wonder what it will be like as the last game on this field.' It drives me to
play a little harder. I want to leave everything I have on the field one
last time."
On the off week
"We got a lot of work in the last week. We practiced hard and should be well
prepared for Texas Tech."
"It was a little frustrating to have an off week after the loss. It gave it some time to soak in and realize how close you were, but at the same time we have to realize we still have three games left in the season. We have to go out and finish strong."
