Oklahoma State's fourth-ranked wrestling team will host top-ranked Minnesota on Dec. 2, in Gallagher-Iba Arena at 2 p.m.
The Cowboys (2-0) are coming off victories over University of Tennessee-Chattanooga and Embry-Riddle, while the Gophers (1-0) notched its first win of the season by defeating No. 21 Boise St. (42-0).
"On paper we are a big underdog," said head coach John Smith. "I've never seen a team with such caliber as they have right now."
"There will be some competitive matches, said Smith. "We have to create some upsets if we expect to win this dual. Minnesota is not going to give us anything, we have to work hard and capitalize off any upsets."
OSU enters the match with six ranked wrestlers including No. 1 ranked Johnny Thompson. The Gophers come into the dual with all 10 of their starters ranked.
Oklahoma State and Minnesota split their dual meetings last year. OSU defeated Minnesota 25-12 in Minneapolis, Minn., while Minnesota defeated the Cowboys 20-12 at the National Duals.
