Cowboys Sweep Cliff Keen Invitational

Oklahoma State's wrestling team competed against Tennessee-Chattanooga, Embry-Riddle, and Bacone at the Cliff Keen Invitational in Tulsa, Okla., last weekend.
The Cowboys swept all 10 weight classes and placed 22 wrestlers en route to a first place finish.
Sophomore All-American Johnny Thompson captured a first place finish at the 133 pound weight class, while sophomore Cody Stites placed third.
Junior All-American Shane Roller recorded a first place victory at 157 pounds, while freshman Matt Ellis placed second.
The Cowboys had three wrestlers place in the top three at 174 pounds. Senior Ty Wilcox captured a first place victory, while sophomore Chris Pendleton had a medical forfeit in the finals to finish second, and senior Chad Reid finished third.
Freshmen Ronnie Delk and Clark Shouse placed first and second, respectively, while red-shirt freshman Steve Esparza finished third at 141 pounds.
The Cowboys will compete in the Oklahoma Open on Nov. 24 before taking on top-ranked Minnesota on Dec. 2.
