Jolene Schweitzer Named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week

DALLAS, Texas - Oklahoma State forward Jolene Schweitzer was named the Big 12 Soccer Newcomer of the Week after helping the Cowgirls to a pair of conference wins over the weekend.

The Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, native recorded a goal in each game and now leads the squad with seven goals and 15 points. The freshman has scored four of her goals in OSU's four Big 12 contests.

On Friday, the Cowgirls defeated Colorado 3-1 and closed out the weekend with a 2-1 victory over Texas Tech.

OSU (6-5-0 overall and 2-2-0 in Big 12 play) will close out its four-game homestand on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. tilt against Northeastern State at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex.
