Orange and Black Ranking Matches

The Oklahoma State wrestling team is set to get its 2001-02 season under way. The annual Orange and Black Ranking Matches will take place on Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The wrestlers scheduled to compete in the dual are to be announced next week. The ranking matches are an annual event that helps Cowboy coaches set the lineup for the upcoming season.
The Cowboys return four All-Americans to a team that finished third at last season's NCAA Championships. Those four consist of Matt Brown (6th, 125 pounds), Tyrone Lewis(5th, 174 pounds)Shane Roller (3rd, 157 pounds) and runner-up Johnny Thompson at 133 pounds.
Some of the other weight classes to watch will be the 141-pound class, which has a couple of youngsters, Ronnie Delk and Clark Shouse, who are coming out of a redshirt season and competing for the starting spot. The 174-pound weight class will feature former 165-ponder Ty Wilcox, Chad Reid and Tony Gansen, all vying for the starting spot.
