OSU Coach Les Miles
"This is a key contest for us, playing at home in front of our people, making sure that we had every opportunity to win this football game on Lewis Field. We challenged this team. We went at them hard this week, and they responded. They played their butts off. We cannot miss tackles. We cannot drop balls. We have to execute that phase of our football better. There were guys out there fighting like heck. If we keep fighting like heck like that, we'll win football games. That's what I told them. We have an off week coming up. We've got some guys who are banged and bruised. We're looking forward to that time so we can get them back."
On the loss "It's disappointing. We came to win. There's no second place prize. It's very disappointing."
On what he would like to see "I just want our defense to stand up and get themselves off of the field. If they will do that, we'll win. If the offense makes the fourth and one, we'll win. There's just a number of ways for us to win this football game."
On the offense "Offensively, we moved the football well. Tatum Bell ran well. We lost T.D. Bryant. We were really limited when we lost him because he is a key part of our offense. John Wohlgemuth came in and subbed adequately. John threw the double pass very well. Darrell Wyatt said he could do that. Honestly, I hadn't seen Wohlgemuth throw that this week. In fact, I promise you he didn't do it in practice. I'm there every snap, but we knew that he could throw it. We had confidence in his abilities. He came in and did it, but there was a lot of our offense that we didn't get an opportunity to call when T.D. was out."
On the drive that ended in a field goal "The thing that was happening was that those plays that we were calling were having success. We just stayed with the call, and made them stop us. We have to depend on our offensive line right on through, so they needed to have some success in the outing as well."
OSU Players
Kevin Williams
On changing positions "I started off feeling comfortable, but towards the end of the game I started missing my old position. The change helped our defense. I think the guys that played the position did a great job."
On losing "The other team always seems to have one extra effort play more than we have."
On Colorado's running "We tried blitzes the second half and they called the right plays and hit the right man."
Aso Pogi
On frustrating game "It gets pretty frustrating, but you just hang in there and keep playing. There is no one that is not fighting. We knew it would be a fight. It just hurts to come out on bottom instead of on top."
On getting off to good start "I think there are certain things that have to be done. We have to look at the little things that go wrong. There is alot of things that come into play. We just have to continue to play hard. Me missing a read or making the read and missing the throw screws things up. Once you get out of rhythm disaster cans strike."
On last drive "After the interception, I knew we had another chance to get back out on the field. It makes you mad, but you have to go with it. You can't point fingers. This team has alot of fight. That is what is going to make us good in the future and for the rest of the season."
Dwayne Levels
On OSU deserving better "I don't think our attitude can get any better right now. Of course we feel we deserve to win when we put that much into it and lay it all out on the field. I am proud of this team. We showed alot of heart and alot of courage. We kept ourselves in the game and hung around to the last minute. I am very proud of this team."
On interception "It comes with hard work and discipline. It gave us an opportunity to win the game. All I was thinking was 'Don't get caught or I won't be able to live it down.'"
On perseverance "We were playing so good. It just hurt to lose. We fought to the last minute."
OSU Locker Room
Chris Massey
On rebounding for the next game "It is unfortunate that we did not win, but we have an off week to sit back and regroup. It was a tough loss, but we have a lot of season left to play."
On his defensive effort "It was my time to step up and be back in the starting rotation. Coach Miles said it was my time to step up so I went out there to prove a point."
Rashaun Woods
On the team "We gave 100 percent. That is all Coach Miles asked of us before the game. It was tough to lose because we played so hard, but we did not come through today."
On returning punts "I am the backup to TD Bryant. I have been watching him from the sidelines and now I got a chance. The first one was frightening. The first one I just let it go so I could get the feel and we got backed up. I had a better feel for it after that."
Colorado Head Coach Gary Barnett
On the game "This was a struggle and a fight. We over came what we were doing to ourselves. I am very proud of how hard we played in the second half. We had just enough to answer back. God can only count how many mistakes we made today, but we survived it. You need to have a little luck along the way. Our luck and how hard we played gave us a three point win. We were fortunate to get out of here with that, but I will take it."
On the running game in the second half "We did not change one thing at halftime. It was an attitude adjustment as much as anything."
On Bobby Pesavento "That kid has really fought hard for us the last two games, in some tough situations too. He just keeps coming through for us."
On becoming bowl eligible "We knew how much this game meant going into it. It is probably all we needed to hold onto the win in the second half. We also are trying to play through and have a chance to play Nebraska."
On the home field advantage for Oklahoma State "This is a tough place to play. Victor Rogers is our only player who has ever been here before. I do not know if the surroundings had much to do with it but we sure made a lot of mistakes today."
Opposing Players
Derek McCoy
On Two Point Conversion "It was obviously a busted coverage because I ran past two guys and neither of them were with me, so I was just hanging out in the end zone by myself."
On Being Down at Half-time "There was a lot of yelling in the locker room at half, both coaches and players. We got it together at the end of half, we got our composure, he (Coach Barnett) calmed us down a little bit, told us to go out and play our game and that is what we did."
Joey Johnson
On Pesavento Stepping In "I think he has played well, he stepped it up today. We rallied behind him and got some chemistry going."
On Brunson's Touchdown "I though he was going to get tackled on the sideline, but then when I saw him break loose, I was just screaming. It was exciting."
Daniel Graham
On Momentum Change "I really think it was coming in at half-time. A couple of people just had to voice their opinions about what was going on and everyone else listened."
