WACO, Texas -
Oklahoma State's women's soccer team saw its three-match winning streak come to a halt on Sunday after suffering a 3-2 setback to Baylor in overtime at the Betty Lou Mays Soccer Field.
The Cowgirls (7-6 overall, 2-3 Big 12) overcame a 2-0 deficit to force their first extra-time contest of the season.
BU's Ginny Rosario-Tull scored the first of her two goals in the game's 21st minute to break the Bears' two-game scoreless skid and give them a 1-0 lead at the intermission.
The freshman struck again two minutes into the second half on an assist from Emily Fukuchi to push the advantage to two goals.
Cowgirl freshman Jolene Schweitzer cut the deficit in half with a tally at the 53:40 mark, taking a feed from sophomore Joanne Edwards to extend her team-best goal total to eight.
OSU equalized in the 73rd minute when freshman Leah Carr headed in a corner kick by fellow freshman Nikki Wojtowicz to force the extra frame.
Both teams battled through 12 minutes of overtime before Baylor's Janae Potter headed in a pass from Alyson Miles for her first goal of the season.
With the win, the Bears snapped a four-game losing streak and improved to 5-6 overall and 1-4 in conference play.
The Cowgirls will return home on Friday for a 7 p.m. contest against Nebraska.
