Cowgirls Finish Second

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - For the second competition in a row, Oklahoma State's women's cross country team finished second to a top ten team.
The Cowgirls were only beaten by tenth ranked Arkansas in the 27 team field. The Razorbacks had their top five runners finish in the top twenty, while the Cowgirls had three in the top ten.
The Cowgirls were led by fourth-place finisher, Siri Alfheim, who ran the 6k course in a time of 21:14. Valentina Medina and Marie Nilsson finished ninth and tenth respectively with times of 21:39 and 21:40.
The Cowgirls will next compete in the Big 12 Cross Country Championships in Norman, Okla on Oct. 27. They are looking to improve on a fifth place from a year ago.
