OSU men's basketball postgame notes
January 08, 2001 | Cowboy Basketball
Jan. 8, 2001
Maurice Baker had 19 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists to become just the second OSU player to record a triple-double. Joe Atkinson was the first, he had 10 points, 11 rebounds and a school-record 10 blocked shots against New Orleans on Jan. 5, 1985. Baker's 14 rebounds, 10 assists, five steals and nine free throws made are career highs.
Melvin Sanders scored a career-high 16 points.
OSU's 57 rebounds are the fifth-most in school history and the most since the Cowboys collected 58 misses against North Texas last season.
OSU tied a season high with five three-pointers, and Victor Williams (with three treys) became the first OSU player other than Baker to hit more than one three-pointer in a game this year.
Fredrik J?nz?n has averaged 20.0 points in the past four games.
The following hard-hitting note comes from OSU administrative assistant Pat Noyes: Since the first of December, OSU is 6-0 when it has Braum's milkshakes the night before a game and is 0-2 when it is deprived of those dairy treats.
Dunks: Sanders Charges Taken: J?nz?n, Marlow
