Mu?oz Registers Win at NWCA All-Star Dual

Lancaster, Pa., -- Oklahoma State's fourth-ranked 197-pounder, Mark Mu?oz, beat Nebraska's top-ranked Brad Vering, 3-2, at the 34th-annual NWCA All-Star Classic on the campus of Franklin and Marshall College.
The duo swapped escapes in the first two periods. Mu?oz then struck with a single-leg shot and took the defending national champion down in the final period. Vering did manage an escape, but Mu?oz held on for a 3-2 win.
The win was the fourth consecutive for Mu?oz over Vering. Mu?oz's last win against Vering came at last season's Big 12 Championships. Mu?oz scored an reverse in the tiebreaker for a 3-1 win.
Mu?oz and the rest of the second-ranked Cowboys return to action on Friday as the Oregon State Beavers invade Gallagher-Iba Arena at 7 p.m.
