Cowboys Compete Well in Razorback Invitational

STILLWATER, Okla. -- Oklahoma State's men's track team finished well in Fayetteville, Arkansas, this weekend at the Razorback Invitational.? This is the third meet for the Pokes this season.
Cowboy senior Junior Vasquez finished second in the 3,000-meter run seeded.? The finish came in a time of 8:01.94. Also finishing for a top five performance was Cam Katchuck.? He placed fourth in the unseeded 800-meter run with a time of 1:53.18.
With a time of 4:17.88, Matt Hart placed seventh in the unseeded Mile run, while Derek Tate finished 12th with a time of 4:21.92. Cowboy freshman Daniel Voegeli finished 11th in the seeded mile run with a time of 4:09.37.
In the unseeded 3,000-meter run , Derek Tate, Ben Lake and Jerry Rainey all came in fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively.? Tate finished with a time of 8:20.99, while Lake and Rainey finished with times of 8:21.70 and 8:23.70.
Also placing in the unseeded 3,000-meter were Scott Rantall, Matt Hart, Chris McWatters and Ben Sigle. Rantall placed ninth with a time of 8:31.16. Hart's time of 8:41.50 earned him a 17th-place finish. McWatters placed 21st with a time of 8:50.81, while Sigle placed 23rd with a time of 8:57.10.
Bruce Wright finished third in the unseeded 5,000-meter race with a time of 14:49.49. Also placing in that race were Johan Bergstrom and Gregory Rouault. Bergstrom placed fifth with a time of 15:01.64 and Rouault placed sixth with a time of 15:14.75.
Running for the first time this season were newcomers Chris Cole and Ricklan Holmes.? Both men are members of the Oklahoma State football team.? Chris Cole placed sixth in his heat with a time of 7.08 and Holmes placed seventh in the heat with a time of 7.58. Both ran the 60-meter dash.
Also joining the track team from the football squad are Tatum Bell and Chris Wright.
