Big 12 Wrestling Championships Changed to a Two-day Event

STILLWATER, Okla. -- The Big 12 Conference Athletics Directors announced today that the 2001 Big 12 Wrestling Championships, hosted by Oklahoma State, have been changed to a two-day event.
Previously scheduled for all day Saturday, March 3, the championships will now begin on Friday, March 2, at 6 p.m in Gallagher-Iba Arena with the pigtail rounds. The semifinals will follow at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, competiton will get underway at 10 a.m. with the consolation pigtails. Consolation semifinals will follow at 11 a.m. Any challenge matches will take place at noon, along with wildcard meetings. The finals are set for 2 p.m.
An all-session reserved ticket can be purchased for $8 by calling the OSU Ticket Office at 1-877-ALL4-OSU. Single session reserved tickets are also available for $5, while high school and college students can purchase single session reserved tickets for $3.
