Cowboy Wrestlers Crown Five at the Roger Denker Open

WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- Five Oklahoma State wrestlers claimed top honors at the Roger Denker Open on the campus of Central Missouri State in Warrensburg, Mo. this weekend.
The Pokes won titles at 125, 133, 157, 165 and 174 pounds.
Sophomore Skylar Holman won the 125-pound title, decisioning teammate Cody Stites 3-0 in the finals. A pair of Cowboys also faced off at 165 pounds with freshman Chris Pendleton edging junior Tony Gansen 6-3. With the win, Pendleton improves to 10-0 on the season.
At 133 pounds, Charles Walker, who is in a fierce battle for the starting job at 133 pounds, breezed to the title. The senior picked up a 7-0 decision over Luke Shaw of Central Missouri State in the finals.
Billy Gabel turned in one of the most dominated performances of the tournament at 157 pounds. Gabel racked up four falls including three pins during his run to the title. In the finals, he pinned Missouri's David Neff in 3:17.
Junior college transfer Chad Reid was the Pokes fifth titleist, winning the 174-pound weight class with a 8-6 decision over Northern Iowa's Eric Hauan.
The top-ranked Cowboys return to action on Saturday at the NWCA National Duals in University Park, Pa.
