STILLWATER, Okla. -- Oklahoma State's Student Government Association, in cooperation with the Athletics Department, announced today that students will need to validate their All-Sports Tickets for the homecoming game. The validation process gives students a chance to sit with others from their living groups.
"The SGA feels that validating the tickets for homecoming give students a great opportunity to sit with their living groups," said SGA President Vic Wheeler. "Groups that worked together during the homecoming festivities will be able to enjoy the game together in a large group."
The validations will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 4-5, at Lewis Field on the north side of the stadium. On Wednesday, from 8 a.m. - noon, a single student may bring a group of 20 to 50 student IDs to be validated. From 1 - 9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, groups of 20 or less will be able to validate their tickets.
"The validation process guarantees every student with an AST or activity card a seat in the student section," said Marilyn Martin, SGA Vice-President. "We want every student to be able to sit with other students."
The homecoming game, featuring Iowa State as this year's opponent, is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Oct. 14. The game will conclude a week of events that are a part of the largest homecoming festivities in the country.
