Women's Soccer Falls To Eastern Washington, 2-1

EL PASO, Texas---For the third consecutive match, the Oklahoma State women's soccer team lost in overtime, falling to the Eastern Washington Eagles 2-1 on Saturday afternoon in El Paso, Texas.
With the loss, the Cowgirls dropped to 3-5 on the year. EWU rose to 2-5 overall.
Despite being outshot 18-9, the Eagles cashed in on goals by Keri Nichols and Jamie Erickson.
Nichols broke the scoreless deadlock at the 49:49 mark to put the Eagles out in front 1-0.
OSU sophomore Kellie Williams netted the equalizer with less than three minutes remaining in regulation to send the match to extra time. The score was the Owasso, Okla., native's second career goal.
The Eagles' Jamie Erickson countered with the game winner in the game's 97th minute on Jessica Fransen's second assist of the game.
The Cowgirls will open conference play when they host the Missouri Tigers on Sept. 22 in Stillwater.
