Cowgirls Drop Second Consecutive Overtime Match

El Paso, Texas -- Oklahoma State's soccer team lost its second consecutive overtime contest on Thursday night, falling to Texas-El Paso 2-1 before a crowd of 297 at Charlie Davis Park.
OSU (3-4) got on the board in the game's 22nd minute on senior Mercy Morrical's second goal of the season.
On the score, fellow senior Andi Lute garnered her fourth assist of the season to extend her consecutive points streak to five games.
The Miners (2-4) got the equalizing goal at the 82:59 mark from Jenny Andre to send the game into the overtime.
In the extra stanza, UTEP outshot the Cowgirls 3-0 and ended the contest on Kelly Parker's third goal of the season just two minutes into extra time.
The Cowgirls will return to action on Saturday when they take on the Eastern Washington Eagles at 1 p.m. in El Paso.
