Men's Track Competes at Cardinal Qualifier

PALO ALTO, California. -- Three members of the Oklahoma State men's track squad finished in the top ten at the Cardinal Qualifier on Friday.
In heat one of the 1,500-meter run, Chuck Sloan paced the Cowboys with a third-place finish. The senior from Billings, Montana finished in 3:42.0, three seconds behind the winning time posted by Stanford's Gabe Jennings.
Freshman Ben Lake turned in a time of 3:54.08 to place sixth in the event's third heat.
In the 800-meter run, sophomore Cam Katchuk finished eighth, recording a time of 1:51.86. He was followed by senior David Greenshields, whose time of 1:54.27 was good for a 13th-place finish.
OSU's Ben Sigle competed in the event's 3000-meter steeplechase. The freshman finished 13th with a time of 9:24.91.
The Cowboys will return to action on May 19 when they travel to Colombia, Missouri for the Big 12 Championships.
