Cowgirl Melinda Jackson Shines At Texas Relays

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's Melinda Jackson displayed her jumping talent this weekend at the 73rd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, hosted by the University of Texas.
Jackson, a senior, finished ninth in the college women's "A" triple jump. Her mark was 12.22m.
However, the triple jump wasn't the only jumping event in which Jackson competed. She also finished 17th in the college women's "B" long jump with her 5.71m jump.
Also shining for OSU was Junior Araceli Davila in the 10,000m. Davila captured the top spot in the event, finishing first with a time of 38.00.33. Davila was 15 seconds ahead of second-place winner, Northwestern's Karen Rogers.
Junior Sara Wells made it to the finals in the 3,000m. She ended up finishing 12th with a time of 10:10.71.
The Cowgirls will return to action this upcoming weekend. The team will be divided between the John Jacobs Invitational and the Mt. SAC Relays.
