Distance Medley Relay Team Finishes Ninth At Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA - Oklahoma State's men's distance medley relay team is bringing home a top-10 finish from the 106th Penn Relays here today.
The DMR team finished the race in ninth with a time of 9:53.69 at Franklin Field. Fairleigh Dickinson won the relay in 9:46.44. Ben Lake, Cam Katchuk, Mike Cliff and Chuck Sloan make up the team.
Three Cowboys competed in two events during the second day of the relays here Thursday night.
Junior Vasquez and Derek Tate ran the 5,000-meter race. Vasquez finished 13th with a time of 14:32.45, while Tate was 23rd in 14:42.25. In the 10,000m, Trey Vernon crossed the line in 37th, finishing the race in 31:33.32.
The relays continue through Saturday with relay races. After this meet, the Cowboys will head to the Cardinal Invitational on May 5 in Palo Alto, Calif.
