STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's men's track team will compete in the 106th Penn Relays Carnival in Philadelphia beginning today and continuing on through Saturday.
The college men's events begin Thursday with the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 6:30 p.m. CDT. Other men's events scheduled for Thursday are the 5,000m and 10,000m runs. On Friday, the relay teams will compete, as well as the 100m dash.
Last weekend, Chuck Sloan met the NCAA automatic qualifying time in the steeplechase. Sloan's time of 8:42.37 in the event gives him the seventh-best time in the country. He also has the 18th-best time in the 5,000m with a 13:55.74 mark, which provisionally qualified him for the NCAA Championships later this season.
The Penn Relays began today with the men's decathlon and the women's heptathlon.
