Baseball Hosts Texas Southern In Two Game Series

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State looks to recapture its winning ways Tuesday against Texas Southern in a mid-week series starting at 7 p.m. at Reynolds Stadium.
The Cowboys are 19-14 overall and 6-9 in the Big 12 conference after dropping two out of three to Kansas State over the weekend in Manhattan.
Texas Southern is 14-24 overall and 12-10 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference after splitting four games against Southern University (La.) last weekend.
Outfielder Alph Coleman leads the team offensively with a .375 batting average to go along with seven homers and 21 RBIs. Ricardo Salazar is the team's ace with a 3-4 record and a 3.38 ERA.
The two teams only other meeting was in the 1996 season with the Pokes coming away with a 16-6 win at the Rice Invitational Tourney in Houston, Texas.
The second game of the series will be played Wednesday at 3 p.m.
OSU will play the remaining 21 games on its schedule in the state of Oklahoma and will host Big 12 rival Texas A&M this weekend. The Aggies, who were the 1999 Big 12 champions and fellow College World Series participant, are 21-19 this season and 10-8 in conference play. A&M was swept over the weekend by Oklahoma in College Station.
