STILLWATER, Okla. -- Oklahoma State's women's track and field team will travel to Fort Worth, Texas, this weekend to compete in the Southwestern Track and Field Invitational.
The meet runs from Friday through Saturday, March 31 and April 1. It is sponsored by the Fort Worth Independent School District, and is scheduled to be held at Clark Stadium.
Junior Sara Wells and Sophomore Alexandra Lindquist are expected to make their first appearance of the outdoor season this weekend.
Wells has been out since the 2000 Big 12 indoor championships. In her final event at the championships, she fell and broke her shoulder.
Lindquist, last year's Big 12 champion in the mile, has been battling problems with stress fractures in her feet since the beginning of cross country season.
After this meet, the Cowgirls next appearance will be split. Half the team will compete at the University of Oklahoma's John Jacobs Invitational, while the other half will compete in the Mt. SAC Relays.
