STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's outdoor track team was the host of the OSU Dual meet at the Kaye Barrett Droke Track & Field Center in Stillwater.
Cowgirl Taylor Cates competed in four events at the OSU Duals - the javelin throw, the high jump, the shot put and the 200m dash.
"Taylor was an animal today," said Head Coach Catrina Acosta. "It seemed like she competed in every event that I watched."
Freshman Vera Waller set a personal best time today. She finished the 800m in 2:35.51.
Cowgirl Stephani Duff finished the 400m in third place, with a time of 63.26.
"Stephani ran the 400m for the first time today. She is normally a hurdler, but she told me today that she wants to start competing in the 400m. I think after what she did today, we should definitely consider that," Acosta said.
Junior Araceli Davila finished the 1,500m with a time of 4:44.88, good enough for a second-place finish.
"I think we had a solid start today. I saw a lot of interesting things," said Acosta.
