Track Squads To Host OSU Duels This Weekend

STILLWATER, Okla. - This weekend, March 24-25, Oklahoma State's track teams will host the OSU Duels at the Kay Barrett Droke Track Complex in Stillwater.
The events will begin on Friday, March 24, at 3:30 p.m. The only events scheduled for that afternoon are the hammer and javelin throws.
On Saturday, March 25, the field events will begin at 11:00 a.m. Track events are scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m. In all events, the women's teams will compete before the men's teams.
The schools registered to compete in the meet are Oklahoma State, the University of Tulsa and Wichita State University.
Women's Head Coach Catrina Acosta said she is looking forward to competing at home.
"I look at this meet as another chance to work out the kinks in our program," Acosta said. "It is going to be kind of like an exhibition, one of the last warm-up meets."
Only half of the OSU women's team will compete at the OSU Duels this weekend. Hanna Smedstad will compete in the Stanford Invitational. Karla Dennis, Natasha Santee, Melinda Jackson, Sherita Jackson and Tiffany Davis will compete at Texas Southern University.
Results from the OSU Duels will be available following the meet. OSU Athletic Media Relations will send results to the Sports Information offices of the competing schools.
