Wrestlers In Fifth Place At NCAA's

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - In what started as a promising day for Oklahoma State's fourth-ranked wrestling team quickly turned dark as Cowboys fell to fifth-place with 55.5 points at the Kiel Center.
Mark Mu-oz, OSU's top-ranked 197 pound semifinalist, went head-to-head with Iowa State's Zach Thompson for the second time this season, unfortunately with the same results.
Zach Thompson's 3-2 decision sealed his second win of the season over Mu-oz and a berth in tomorrow night's finals.
At 125 pounds, Jeff Ragan shot back after a disheartening loss to Leroy Vega to major decision returning All-American Jason Silverstein of Purdue 12-2. The win earned the fifth-year senior his first All-American honors. He then pinned Big 12 foe Paul Gomez of Nebraska in 4:23 to advance to Saturday mornings fifth session.
No. 3 Reggie Wright took care of business at 149 pounds decisioning Oklahoma Jared Frayer 8-1 to earn All-American honors. He followed that with a 6-2 decision of Iowa's Mike Zadick.
Charles Walker was decisioned 6-4 in sudden victory by James Madison's Mike Coyle. At 141 pounds, No. 5 Jamill Kelly was decisioned 4-3. Ty Wilcox fell 3-2 to Harvard's No. 6 Joey Killar. Dave Anderton finished his Cowboy career when he was decisioned 5-2 by Boston College's No. 6 Antonio Garay.
