Cowboys Face Panthers And Sooners

STILLWATER, Okla. - Things don't get any easier for the fifth-ranked Oklahoma State Wrestling team as the Pokes face ninth-ranked Northern Iowa on Friday night in Stillwater and the fourth-ranked Oklahoma Sooners on Sunday in Norman.
Oklahoma State is 10-4-1 on the season and 2-1-1 in Big 12 action. Northern Iowa is 9-3-2, while Oklahoma is 14-3-1.
The Panthers are in Stillwater for a 7 p.m. matchup with the Pokes on senior night. OSU will be honoring its five seniors, Dave Anderton (285), Jamill Kelly (141), Todd Munson (197), Jeff Ragan (125) and Justin Turner, before the match.
Friday night's 149-pound matchup will feature Northern Iowa's top-ranked Tony Davis, an NCAA runner-up a year ago, against Oklahoma State's third-ranked Reggie Wright.
This is the first meeting between the two schools since 1994 when the Cowboys romped their way to a 41-6 win. OSU holds a 10-2 lead in the all-time series. Northern Iowa's last win came during the 1991 season when the Panthers won 21-6 in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
On Sunday, the Cowboys travel to Norman for a 3 p.m. dual with the fourth-ranked Oklahoma Sooners. The Pokes are 1-0-1 against the Sooners this year and 106-24-9 in the all-time series.
The Cowboys and Sooners wrestled to a 16-16 tie back on Nov. 30. OSU slipped past the Sooners 19-13 during the consolation finals of the National Duals on Jan. 23 in University Park, Pa.
