Oklahoma State Opens Home Baseball Slate Against Missouri Southern

STILLWATER, Okla. -- Oklahoma State opens its 2000 home baseball campaign Tuesday when the Pokes play Missouri Southern at 3 p.m. at Reynolds Stadium.
Admission is free courtesy of the OSU Athletic Department.
The Cowboys played their first 12 games of the season on the road and are 7-5 on the season after going 1-2 against Baylor in Waco, Texas, over the weekend.
OSU is 50-12 in home openers and has won its last 15 dating back to the 1985 season. The Pokes have met Missouri Southern in nine of those meetings and hold an all-time series advantage of 35-1 over the Lions.
Freshman hurler Mike Miller will make his first start of the season against the Lions, who are 1-4 on the year. Missouri Southern last played on Feb. 12, defeating Dallas Baptist 9-6 in Dallas, Texas.
This will be the first of two contests against MSSC as the Cowboys will meet the Lions again next Tues., Mar. 7, following this weekend's contests against visiting Nebraska.
