Cowgirl Soccer Wins Tulsa Seven-A-Side Tournament

TULSA, Okla. -- Oklahoma State went unbeaten in five women's soccer games today and won the University of Tulsa Seven-a-Side Tournament for the third consecutive year.
Oklahoma State defeated Oral Roberts 2-1 to reach the final, where it routed Tulsa 6-0. Mercy Morrical and Kellie Williams scored two goals apiece to lead the Cowgirls past Tulsa. Andrea Larsen and Myszka Paprocki also found the net in the championship game.
"It was a great effort by all of our players today," said OSU coach Karen Hancock. "We had some young players step up and really play well. Kellie Williams scored the most goals of the tournament and was the team MVP on the day."
The Cowgirls advanced out of pool play after beating Central Oklahoma 4-3 and Drury College 5-2. OSU tied Southwest Missouri State 3-3 to reach a semifinal matchup with Oral Roberts.
For their next spring effort, the Cowgirls travel to Springfield, Mo., on March 4 to play Southwest Missouri State and Drury in full-sided games.
