STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Frederik Jonzen scored a career-high 26 points and had 11 rebounds and Oklahoma State held Lamar without a field goal for the first 9 1/2 minutes in an 86-45 victory Friday night.
Lamar (3-4) didn't make a basket until Joey Ray hit a 3-pointer from the right wing with 10:29 left in the half, making the score 22-5.
Oklahoma State (7-1) held Lamar to just 14 first-half points. The Cardinals shot 31.5 percent and committed 21 turnovers.
Victor Williams had 13 points and seven assists for the Cowboys. Melvin Sanders scored 12, Jason Keep 11 and Jack Marlow 10.
Lewis Arline led Lamar with 12 points.
Oklahoma State outrebounded the Cardinals 45-28 and limited them to one shot for a turnover on 13 of their first 15 possessions.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys scored on just about every trip to open a comfortable lead.
After Ray's basket, the Cowboys scored 10 straight points to take a 32-5 advantage.
Oklahoma State started the second half with a quick 8-2 run to end any thought of a Lamar comeback. The Cowboys' widest lead was 52 points, 78-26.
