OSU Athletics Director Comments on Coaching Search

STILLWATER, Okla. -- Oklahoma State University Athletics Director Terry Don Phillips confirmed Friday night that Dirk Koetter will not become the school's head football coach.

"Coach Koetter informed me at approximately 7 p.m. tonight that he had been tendered an offer from Arizona State University and had accepted," Phillips said. "Dirk is a fine football coach, and we wish him well."

Phillips said he would have no further comment on OSU's coaching vacancy at this time.
