- Running back Tatum Bell's 60-yard scoring jaunt in the third quarter was his first career touchdown, and it was the longest run of his career. It was the second-longest run of the season for OSU, Reggie White had a 69-yard scamper against Texas on Sept. 30. It was also the longest scoring play of the season for OSU, surpassing Gabe Lindsay's 57-yard punt return for a TD against Texas A&M on Nov. 4. In addition, it was the longest OSU scoring play since Jamaal Fobbs ran for a 68-yard score against Louisiana-Lafayette on Sept. 4, 1999. Bell's 90 yards rushing today represent a career high.
- With 102 yards passing today, quarterback Aso Pogi moved into first place on the OSU freshman passing list with 1,550 yards, surpassing Mike Gundy's 1,525 yards passing set in the 1985 season.
- The 12 points OSU allowed today was the second-lowest of the season against the Cowboys. Oklahoma State shut out Southwest Texas 23-0 on Sept. 16. It was the lowest point total of the season for Oklahoma, besting the 27 scored by the Sooners last week against Texas Tech.
- With 44 yards rushing today, Reggie White moved into 10th place on the OSU single-season rushing list with 1,049 yards. He surpassed Terry Miller (1,026 in 1975) and Bob Fenimore (1,048 in 1945) today to record the 10th-best rushing season.
- Linebacker Chris Carter's second-quarter interception was the first of his career.
- Elbert Craig's second-quarter interception was his third of the season.
- Oklahoma State failed to score in the first half for just the second time this season. The Cowboys were also scoreless in the first half against Texas Tech in Lubbock on Nov. 11.
- Oklahoma's second-quarter safety was the first against OSU since Kansas did it on Nov. 18, 1995.
- Bob Simmons finishes his six-year head coaching career at OSU with a 30-38 ledger.
- Senior Jamaal Fobbs ends his OSU career with a reception in his last
14 contests.
