- Reggie White went over the century mark for the sixth time in nine games this season. He finished the game with 111 yards on the ground.
- With 219 yards passing, quarterback Aso Pogi moved past Tony Lindsay (1,172) and Gary Porter (1,280) into second place on the OSU freshman passing list behind Mike Gundy (1,525).
- Jamaal Fobbs caught a pass for the 12th-straight contest.
- Tight end Tarrick McGuire's nine-yard reception in the first quarter was the first catch of his career.
- Oklahoma State did not score in the first quarter for the third-straight contest.
- Texas Tech's second-quarter blocked field goal return for a touchdown was the first against Oklahoma State since at least 1976 (as far back as records on hand go). It was the first special teams return against OSU since Mississippi State returned a blocked punt 21 yards on Sept. 19, 1998.
- OSU was shutout in the first half for the first time this season and first since Oct. 30, 1999 against Texas A&M.
- The 55 points scored by Texas Tech is the most points Oklahoma State has given up since Texas scored 71 on Oct. 5, 1996. It is the biggest point differential since falling to Oklahoma 66-6 in 1970.
- The Cowboys were shut out for the first time since falling to Tennessee, 31-0, on Sept. 30, 1995.
