STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State takes its 12th-ranked men's golf team to Dallas, Texas, on Monday and Tuesday for the annual Red River Classic.
The Cowboys are led individually by junior Anders Hultman, ranked 19th in the latest MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings. However, true freshman Matt McQuillan debuted last week with the team's best score and a 19th-place finish at the prestigious Ping-Golfweek Preview.
The 15-team field at the Red River Classic includes eight ranked teams. The Cowboys will join a field that boasts No. 5 Texas, No. 7 BYU, No. 10 Houston, No. 13 TCU, No. 18 Kent State, No. 19 Oklahoma and No. 23 Southern California.
The tournament's results will be available on the Internet at the igolftheworld.com Web site. End-of-round results will be available during Monday's opening two rounds, and the service will provide live scores during Tuesday's third and final round.
The tournament will be played at the Dallas Athletic Club. The Cowboys won the event in 2000, with eventual national champion Charles Howell finishing fourth individually.
