LUBBOCK, Texas - Oklahoma State's soccer team surrendered three second-half goals on Sunday, falling 4-0 to Texas Tech before 724 fans at R.P. Fuller Stadium in Lubbock.
The loss was the seventh consecutive for the Cowgirls, who fell to 3-9 overall and 0-4 in the Big 12. Texas Tech rose to 4-8 and 2-2.
Melanie Brosnahan got the Red Raiders on the board in the game's 23rd minute, scoring the first of her two goals on the afternoon on a put back from six yards out.
Cowgirl goalkeeper Katharine Doud kept the Cowgirls within striking distance, tallying six saves in the first half.
However, Tech exploded for three goals in the second stanza to put the contest out of reach.
Forward Carrie Graham got things started with her fifth goal of the year at the 59:06 mark. Monica Miller extended the lead to three nearly six minutes later with her fist goal of the year.
In the game's 68th minute, Brosnahan struck again, beating Doud one-on-one to finish the game's scoring.
OSU will be back in action Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. when they host the Creighton Blue Jays at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex.
