- OSU won its fifth straight over the Red Raiders and improved to 14-6 in
the all-time series.
- Texas Tech scored 47 points, a season low for OSU opponents.
- Brian Montonati recorded his second straight double-double and his
sixth this season, for the week, Montonati averaged 21.0 points and 13.0
rebounds.
- Alex Webber scored 11 points, his most since Dec. 1, when he scored 20
in the Cowboys' victory over Wichita State. In that game, Webber hit nine of
11 shots while the rest of the team hit just 27 percent from the field.
Today, Webber was five-for-eight while the other Cowboys went 16-for-52
(30.7 percent).
- Fredrik Jonzen scored in double figures for the second straight game,
in the past three contest, he has averaged 11.0 points and 6.3 rebounds.
- Jonzen and Webber combined to shoot 10-for-15 (66.7 percent), the rest
of the OSU lineup went 11-for-45 (24.4 percent).
- The Cowboys won despite shooting a season-low 35.6 percent from the
field.
- OSU improved to 3-5 in conference home openers in the past eight
seasons.
- For the first time this season, only seven Cowboys saw the floor.
