No. 3 Wrestling Squad Dominates Penn State, 32-7

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's third-ranked wrestling team pummeled 22nd-ranked Penn State 32-7 here tonight at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Head coach John Smith's Cowboys improved to 4-0-1 on the season and extended its unbeaten streak to 73, Penn State falls to 1-4.
The match began at the 157-pound weight class with Oklahoma State's Shane Roller using a takedown with :32 seconds remaining decision Penn State's Nate Wachter 10-6.
Second-ranked Mark Munoz suffered a stunning upset at the hands of unranked Ross Thatcher of Penn State. Thatcher used a takedown with :47 seconds remaining to earn the win, 3-2. The loss is the first of the season for Munoz, who now stands at 20-1.
The Cowboys bounced back quickly at 285 with a Dave Anderton fall in 1:53. The pin, over Penn State's 18th-ranked Mark Janus, was his team-leading 11th.
At 125, PSU's top-ranked Jeremy Hunter scored a major decision over OSU's 11th-ranked Jeff Ragan, 18-7. Charles Walker then decisioned PSU's freshman 133-pounder Scott Moore. Moore was riding a 10-match winning streak entering the match.
Staked to 24-7 lead, OSU's fourth-ranked 141-pounder Jamill Kelly major decisioned Penn State's Jay Schrum, 18-6. Reggie Wright was the last Cowboy to take the mat and major decisioned PSU's Brent Narkiewicz, 17-7.
Oklahoma State will return to the mat Sunday, Jan. 9 as they host fourth-ranked Minnesota at 2 p.m. in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
