Women's Soccer Falls To Southwest Missouri State

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Southwest Missouri State continued its strong start to the 1999 season with a 4-0 win over Oklahoma State Wednesday afternoon at the Cooper Sports Complex.
The win avenged a 4-0 defeat to the Cowgirls last season and upped the Lady Bears record to 5-1 this year. Oklahoma State has yet to score in its four losses this season and dropped to 1-4 overall.
Forward Jamie Hautzinger opened the scoring at the 15-minute mark in the first half as Southwest Missouri State took a 1-0 lead into the half. Natalie Whiteman added a goal at the 49-minute mark and Debbie Stark added two goals of her own in the second half to ensure the SMS victory.
Sophomore Andi Lute led the OSU offensive attack with five shots as the Cowgirls outshot the Lady Bears 11-10.
Oklahoma State will be back in action Sunday, Sept. 12 against North Texas at 1 p.m. in the Cowgirls season opener at the OSU Soccer Complex.
