Women's Soccer Falls To No. 18 Alabama, 3-0

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama scored three times in the first 25 minutes to defeat the OSU women's soccer team 3-0 Sunday afternoon.
The Crimson Tide outshot OSU 20-4 and sent OSU to its third shutout loss in four games. The Cowgirls fell to 1-3 while the 18th-ranked Crimson Tide improved to 3-0.
Freshman goalkeeper Katharine Doud provided the bright spot for OSU, shutting Alabama out in the second half while making four saves.
OSU returns to action Wednesday, when it travels to Springfield, Mo., to face Southwest Missouri State. The Cowgirls open their home schedule Sunday, Sept. 12, with a 1 p.m. kickoff against North Texas.
