OSU vs. Louisiana-Lafayette Postgame Quotes

OSU Coach Bob Simmons
"A victory is a victory. Would I have liked to have executed better? Yes. A win is a win. I think what you have to do is look at how we executed, especially on offense. I thought the defense really kept them dazed. The only score they got, they got off of the offense. What it came down to was dropped balls in the first half, under throws, and production on the offensive line. I won't know until I look at the film."
On Tony Lindsay
"That's the question. I won't know until Monday when the trainers give me the report on probably two or three kids."
On B.J. Tiger's performance
"I thought that it was pretty decent. I thought that he made some good reads. Some of the execution was a little freelanced on some things that we don't want him to do. For the most part, we were very pleased with his play. He's got to learn to play within our system, not within his system. I think he'll be a good quarterback. He made some good throws, made some good decisions, and he made some good scrambles. Under the circumstances with Tony (Lindsay) going out and him coming in, I think he did a good job."
On Ben Bowling
"I've always said that I think that Ben's going to be a good quarterback. I would have made a mistake if I would not have come back with him because he did some good things and he made some good throws. The ball wasn't high enough. He probably was a little bit nervous, but at that point in time I felt like he had the game under control. I don't know how long Tony's (Lindsay) going to be out, but I think it's important to have three quarterbacks. He's very much in the mix."
On the defense
"It was outstanding. I really never felt that they would score and basically they didn't. I just felt that we were better physically up front. Obviously, the secondary backs were better than theirs. I'm proud of the defense."
